SUMMER SCREENWRITING CLASS PRESENTATIONS, WED, AUG. 14th Screenplays written by students from the Town of Groton‘s Parks & Rec program – taught by local writer Nicholas Checker -- will be presented on Wed, August 14th, 6:30 PM at the Garde Arts Gallery on the corner of State & Meridian Streets, New London. The dramatic readings will be performed by experienced actors and refreshments will be served afterwards. Admission is free and open to the general public. These same students have also filmed segments of their works this summer at COMCAST Studios in Groton; films will be aired over Groton Public Access and will also be featured at a local screening venue this fall.
