SWEET GIRL WITH PERFECT COAT, NAILS, TEETH! ** DUCHESS has been a pet, and LOVES ALL DOGS! A volunteer writes: An old friend......That is what came to my mind when I saw a staff bringing Duchess down the hallway: Found as a stray... As soon as I came home I dug in my old photos and there she was, as beautiful as a statue, stern and lactating. Although a few years older, Duchess has regained her figure and she looks now like a well cared for girl. Healthy, well nourished, a perfect coat, manicured nails and teeth a dental hygienist would be proud of. Duchess is really a pooch in mint condition. I can not believe she is a stray, no way..Duchess is ready when I am. She is leashed in no time and walks beautifully. She eliminates as soon as we hit the street in just one stop. A bit reserved and tense at first (she is a duchess....)Duchess warms up quickly to me and welcomes other people who come to visit us. She is quite down to earth when she knows you and forgets all about her crown, wiggling her butt and wagging her tail. Duchess must have lived with dogs because she seems to love them, big or small, male or female and appears quite taken aback when one barks at her...Duchess comes right away when called, puts her paw on my lap and expects caresses. She is such a lady. Duchess does not like papparazis and lets me know that picture taking is not so ok with her . I had to be quite sneaky to snap just a few photos.
