My Animal ID # is A1007373. I am a female tan and white pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old. I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/19/2014 from NY 11428, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. Free in the backyard, shes a wonderful ball player who knows how to retrieve the ball and then release it for the next play. Commands are not needed in this game with Zydeco as she watches with a hopeful look when I pick the ball up right from under her nose. Given her fine coat and good manners, Zydeco was, more than likely, someones companion; she goes promptly once outside, comes when called and sits nicely for treats. She also likes to lean-in gently against my legs while we play, a tender gesture thats hard to ignore. So, if youre looking for a new companion to share your life, come see Zydeco - she just might be the one for you! Another volunteer writes: Zydeco immediately catches my eye, so quiet and elegant in her kennel, and when she steps out and looks up I notice she has one blue and one amber eye - so gorgeous and unusual. Likely housetrained she goes as soon as shes out the door and off we go to the park. We pass some yapping small dogs whom she totally ignores, anxious to get to our destination. When she puts her head in my lap for some petting she actually purrs with pleasure and its such a wonderful sound to hear. Her tail never stops wagging, and when I toss a tennis ball for her she lights up with fun. Shes a gentle treat taker, a tail wagger, a purrer, and a lover girl, all with appropriate energy and sweetness. Acing her behavior assessment earned her a place in adoptions where shes waiting for you to come meet her. Do it today.
