Sacramento Valley, Route 113 as we headed to San Francisco yesterday. Many farmers were out planting their fields. Partly cloudy day? No. This is the haze being created by the constant spraying. Look closely. There is actually a mountain in the first picture. The red plane was spraying above us near Yuba City. The one with the very blue background was a different plane (taken through the top part of our widnshield, thats why the blue). On Wednesday evening coming back from EPA, Ryan and I saw six planes spraying this area at once. This is where so many of our countrys crops are grown. So why are they spraying here constantly? A farmer from Fresno I talked to in San Francisco yesterday said the sky there is horrible and every farmer he knows is sick. He said he was sick when he lived there, too, and still has a rash on his arm. Why are people doing this to our food, to our planet, to our farmers, to our children? And why are so few willing to stand up and fight this?
