Sad, Sad day yesterday. My horse Alice had to be put down. The ferrier had (not purposely) cut her feet to much and it foundered her. My mother did everything in her power to save her but our poor Alice just could not stand anymore. My heart is so broken. Alice was a wonderful friend of our whole family. So many of my evenings had been spent with her and she always calmed my frustrations. You couldnt even ask for a better horse. Learning to accept the circle of life is so very hard. I keep telling myself that this is what was best for Alice and she is no longer in pain. And my heart breaks for my mother, she feels its her fault, but we all know it wasnt. Please pray for her to find peace with she did everything she could and she did do what was best.
