Sad but true…Are people capable of being so heartless? After alienating yourself from your family because of greediness, you were alone. Then you finally get someone from your past to come back into your life, someone who knew nothing about what truly happened with your family, to accept you for who you are, believe what you said, no questions asked. And you manage to screw that up. This person went to extremes to help you, gave up a job, moved, caused drama with their own family, and what did you give them in return – more lies. Here’s the tricky part, this time the truth will be told, they will figure out that they have been conned. Maybe your last lies to this person should have been that you lost your home and that your family turned on you for no reason. This time, maybe you told one lie too many. How will you explain away your illness? What happens after three months when you are still healthy as a horse? Do you think they will be naive enough to believe that you had a miraculous recovery? That you have been cured of the cancer that has plagued you? Don’t you think they have already started putting the pieces of the puzzle together? This person believed you and obviously cared about you, will they realize that you didn’t care enough to tell them the truth? Do you even know what the truth is anymore? Will this be the time that your lies finally catch up with you and you get hurt by your lies along with all the others you have hurt before? Did this person mean something to you and will you finally realize that you can’t go on using people and discarding them after you have taken everything away from them, even their pride and dignity? Or, did this person mean nothing to you and was she just a means to an end for you? What will become of her? There is an illness but it isn’t cancer…just saying.
