Sad end to huge Irish Sea search. Following an all day search involving four RNLI lifeboats two bodies were recovered with the lifeboats eventually being stood down about 5pm yesterday (27th.July) and returning to respective home ports. Lifeboats from Peel, Ramsey, Port Erin and Port Patrick were involved in the all day search with helicopters and a fixed wing aircraft. Directed by Liverpool coastguard the search covered a wide area off the North and West of the Isle of Man with the casualties eventually recovered North off the Point of Ayre. The thoughts and sympathy of the crews and everyone at the RNLI go out to the families of the two men at this very sad time.
