Sad that WE journalists do weekly reports on Ghanaian Players - TopicsExpress

Sad that WE journalists do weekly reports on Ghanaian Players Abroad and even include players in the South Africa 2nd division, DR Congo, Libya, Turkish 3rd divisions, Malaysia 2nd division, the Lebanese, Thailand and Hong Kong leagues. Meanwhile, we dont even know the names of the very talents that play and excel in our OWN league under our noses in Berekum, Tarkwa, Tema, Kumasi, Accra, Dormaa and Obuasi. Not surprising that at the end of the league, with 240 matches, the organizers nominate players who couldnt even make 10 starts at their clubs for awards. When players who missed almost half of the season gets crowned because according to them, there were non better anywhere? And all we can do is just sit and clap because no system is perfect? Well, thats true anyway. How changed is Yaw Frimpong for TP Mazembe now more than he was at Asante Kotoko? But Inkoom was still playing in the Black Stars even when he sat in the stands in Ukraine. What has Solomon Asante done with Mazembe that he didnt do with Chelsea in the CAF champions league? But Adomah was preferred in both the Afcon and World Cup. Now that Kwabena Adusei moves to Mpumalanga Black Aces, trust me hell be in Black Stars next call up. Let Winful Cobbina move to Israel now, next year he will be a Black Star. Augustine Okrah will come, If Paul Asare moves, he will join, Abeiku Ainooson and Emmanuel Akuoko Emmanuel, Michael Akuffo and many many more. If Stephen Adams had not been to CHAN, Razak Braimah of the lower division in Spain would have been at the World Cup instead. Daniel Nii Adjei had played for Kotoko for years without even a Local Black Star call up, but the very month he moved to Congo with Mazembe, he was invited to the Black Stars without even kicking a ball in the Congolese league. And the most annoying statement Ive ever heard is when they say players who sit on the bench in Europe are better than regulars in the Ghana league. Only an indolent and dumb technical team will accept that. We all here when Keshie won the Afcon with virtually home grown talent. When just 8 years back, Ratomir Djudkovic could trust our league players, unleashed Shillah Illiasu (Kotoko) and Habib Mohammed (King Faisal) on the big stage at the World Cup, why can we not have such confidence? Is the league just dead? Authorities are too LAZY to sit up and explore right materials right under their noses. And so even in friendly matches with Cape Verde or Uganda, they dont ever consider Kumasi or Takoradi as the venue. They prefer to play in Portugal or at the Craven Cottage in London. And what does the coach do? sit in an arm chair? make a list of the 23 most publicized names playing ABROAD and send to the GFA. And what the GFA does? purchase business class tickets and take thousands of dollars as appearance fees for the boys and themselves. And the modus operandi continues. Not a dogs chance for the local player. Nobody ever think of giving the Ghanaian league a facelift, by allowing at least 2 or 3 Black Star players to grace the league, as a boost for sponsors, attraction for fans and a gleam for the brand. We contribute in forcing our talents out to strengthen leagues elsewhere and weaken our league. We fail to appreciate their talents when theyre here. Journalists, PLB, Coaches, Fans, GFA etc, nobody cares. But I guess now that our league stars have moved to lower divisions in Cyprus, to South Africa, Egypt and Libya, we will start appreciating them, and refer to them as Ghanian Players Abroad. Apparently that is the ONLY chance to be heard and called for national team duty.
