Sadie Update: After a day of Video EEG testing we have some preliminary results. We will meet again with the neurologist tomorrow to talk more. So far this is what we know. Sadie is experiencing what appears to be mild infantile spasms. These seizures are developmental and usually appear in the first 4 - 8 mos in children. They are grown out of in time. The negative to them is they usually mean there will be seizures that will be present most of her life. Most of the time they have a underlying cause. In the case for Sadie, it appears to be from her meningitis. We will be starting some new medicine tomorrow. The good news is that they appear to be mild and they were caught very early. The better news is God is on the throne!While this is not the perfect report I cant help but see God in the midst of it all. Her nurses, doctors, and everyone at Batson is as incredible as ever. God truly has blessed us with being here. We have been able to share our story, and the hope we have in Jesus even today. In Gods amazing timing last night at the hotel I was able to share our story with a lady on the elevator. She heard Sadie crying so I began to talk to her and tell her our story. If you do not think God is bigger let me just say this ... He knows right where you need to be and when you need to be there. I told her how blessed we were and then she told me what she does for a living. She is a nurse. She is a JAIL NURSE - she was from out of town and happened to be working at a jail in Rankin Co. - if you know our story then you know that is not an accident! My God is Greater! He is Bigger! We may have mild seizures to deal with but I just so happen to know who can handle it all! God has got this! I cannot wait to see how He gets glory in this situation! One thing is certain - He will receive Glory!
