Sadly, our society is too litigious for such things. From a training standpoint, however, Im ambivalent about this yellow ribbon. I know from experience with my own black American Pit Bull Terrier that folks are already intimidated by his appearance. If he wore a ribbon showing he also needed space, it would only confirm in their minds he truly is a Cujo dog. Since dogs will feed off the energy and reactions of the beings around them, I dont know that I want folks approaching a reactive/anxious dog with a negative connotation for what that yellow ribbon represents.
