Sadly some of the points in this article are why I wear male deterrent. A fake engagement ring to keep creepy dudes from hitting on me. I dont care if it makes me sound vain, Im not if you know me at all youll know this. What annoys me is when a regular asked if I had got engaged and I said no it was male deterrent and tried to explain it. The look he gave me and my explication I think only confused him more or made him think I was a complete narcissist. Really? OK when apparently even the ring doesnt actually work. I had a customer spend 15 minutes a few weeks ago talking to me, of which in the beginning I thought a normal good conversation about video games. By the end of it he was asking for my number and after flashing him the ring and lying about being engaged he flatly said I dont care. After having history with crazy x bfs and stalkers I immediately began to panic. I didnt want to be in the store alone or walk to my car by myself. Neither of these things could change though. Yeah maybe I was over reacting, but when someone has that blatant disregard I make certain assumptions of them as a person. Idk where I am going with this other than ranting but read the article.
