Safety first! The maintenance staff at Colorado National Monument is in the final stages of upgrading the railing for the overlook of upper Wedding Canyon. The overlook, which sits directly behind the visitor center, is one of the most popular in the park. No matter if you are at an official overlook or elsewhere in the monument, visitors are reminded to stay away from cliff edges and pay attention to footing and environmental factors such as wind, or rocks slippery from rain or snow. (The weather forecast shows a 30% chance for snow here tomorrow!) Fee program project dollars (your entrance fees) are being used to accomplish the railing upgrade project.
