Said good-bye today to a woman that made a world of difference in my life. She was there to pick up the pieces and take over as a Mom when those who should have been there werent. She has been there through thick and thin with my Dad, and I know he is still alive today because of her. I learned some life changing things these past few days. One, you dont realize how much you lean on someone for support, just knowing they are there if you need them, until they are suddenly taken from you and are no longer there, and That although I knew when she came into my life, she came with 5 kids. In the past few days, I realized that it wasnt five kids. She brought me two more wonderful sisters and three great brothers. Wish I had realized that sooner. I want to thank everyone that said a prayer, gave a hug, sent flowers or just sat quietly in the background to let us know you were there. It helped us tremendously get through the past five days. Pastor John gave us some wonderful things to remember. One thing that stuck out in Angelina and my mind was...that she is now singing Amazing Grace, not with faith, but by sight. Just as my Dad asked everyone he spoke to during the services, I ask you to please continue to pray for our family. And Id like to ask for some extra prayer for strength for my Dad. Love you and will miss you everyday, Pat!
