Sailor in the Spotlight: CTM2(SW) David Daub from Winnebago, Ill., and stationed on the USS George Washington is this week’s Sailor in the Spotlight! Congrats CTM2! Your hard work has been recognized by CTRC Roberts, CTM1 Rowlett and now All Hands Magazine! CTM2 Daub is, hands down, the lynch pin that holds our Ships Signals Exploitation Space together. As the Work Center Supervisor, I have never seen someone work as hard or as diligently as him. His care for the job goes beyond the requirements; there is a passion and art to his work. His knowledge about maintenance requirements exceeds the average Sailor, and he is the #1 go-to guy for training new JOs on proper procedures for Spot Checks and other 3M requirements. CTM2 never gives up on a job and takes every task head on as a challenge. He strives to complete everything, not only to put the check in the box, but to understand how it works, how it was broken and how to avoid the problem in the future. He is a role-model for Sailors and the Navy would benefit to have more maintenance technicians with his enthusiasm! One of the best things I can say about him; when Daub says Chief, I got it, rest assured, the problem is already fixed! - CTRC William Roberts “Daub is one of the best Sailors Ive ever seen, and he goes well beyond in his duties as one of two INC E Collections Suite Maintenance Technicians onboard USS GEORGE WASHINGTON CVN-73. Daub is The CTM2 of the Navy in my eyes as he can and has effectively maintained, troubleshot, repaired and/or replaced INC E Collections Suite system components and associated gear. Hes also led and trained his peers, subordinates and superiors (to include me) in the proper operation of the INC E Collections Suite located in the Ships Signal Exploitation Space, (SSES). Daub is an outstanding Sailor, Trainer and Mentor. He is the face of todays Sailor and a future leader in tomorrows Navy. I praise him so highly, because Ive seen him in action first hand. - CTM1 Brandon Rowlett If there is a Sailor at your command that you feel deserves to be our Sailor in the Spotlight, please send a write up complete with specific examples of how the Sailor goes above and beyond to [email protected]. Please also include a couple of photos and the full name and command of the Sailor. Our Sailors are doing great things! Let’s talk about it.
