Salaams to our esteemed members. As Ramadaan will shortly be upon us, this announcement pertains to offering everyone an opportunity to participate in our iftaar programme one which I will personally supervise in one Masjid in Durban (which sometimes goes into a second masjid as well). Alhumdulillah our Haleem distribution consists of about 12 litres of haleem a day, 8 of which is placed in the masjid and 4 litres given out to widows. Naan is also included in that batch. The cost for these is usually covered by the locality whereby a chart is posted on the bullettin board and everyone is offered an opportunity to contribute by taking up shares. However, there is an opportunity for members if they want to contribute towards the cost for 4 dozen samoosas @R25 p/doz & 1kg bhaajia @R40 p/kilo = R140 per day which we will place on the dastarkaan daily at iftaar time as well. Over 30 days, this amounts to R4,200. If any of our members are interested, please feel free to contact me. I need not tell you the sawaab that is to be gained for feeding fasting persons. In the same breath, you are under no obligation and can very well contribute towards similar initiatives in your own localities. JazakAllah Khair.
