Salam and hello everyone !! You are almost completing your 2nd week of the internship. I hope everyone is doing good and/or at least learned something from the process. Kindly note that the updated Form LI03 (English and Malay version) has been uploaded together with the LI Report Format and sample of LI report for your kind reference. To those who doing LI in states like Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu and Johor where they observe Friday as public holiday, your last day of LI should be on 7th of September 2014 (Sunday). With regards to the holiday or leave especially for upcoming Hari Raya, I wish to inform several important announcement based on the meeting with the Dean today (10th July 2014) as follows: 1. There should be no additional holiday for intern. All students are only entitled for 2 days public holiday. No other additional holiday is granted from the University except medical leave (with medical certificate or medical report) and emergency leave (in the case of emergency such as death etc). Students should not ask for any additional holiday from the company! HOWEVER, 2. If the company closed during Hari Raya for example 1 week or 3 days, you are also entitled to get that 1 week or that 3 days holiday and you dont have to replace. This only happened if the companys requirement to close for certain particular period of time. Please inform the Supervisor from the organization to inform the LI Coordinator in writing for the Facultys record. 3. If the supervisor or the company provides or gives any additional holiday for upcoming Hari Raya, the Supervisor or the Company need to inform the LI Coordinator in writing too for Facultys record. For any additional holiday provided by the Company (not requested by students), students do not have to replace. 4. If there is no additional holiday for Hari Raya provided by the organization or company BUT the students REQUEST for the holiday, the students need to inform LI Coordinator in writing too and they need to REPLACE the holiday/leave and EXTEND their LI too.
