Sales of single-family homes were on the rise for the third consecutive month, but the sector’s recovery remains gradual due to stagnant wage growth, housing analysts say. New-home sales rose 0.7 percent over September’s revised pace down. New-home sales in October reached a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 458,000, according to the Commerce Department’s latest report. Year-over-year, October sales were 1.8 percent higher. ow.ly/Fawzi
