Salon Policy concerning appointments and walk ins We do take - TopicsExpress

Salon Policy concerning appointments and walk ins We do take walk ins, but if you come as a walk in and we have appointments ahead of you ... you will have to wait. Im posting this because a lady came in today and got very upset because we couldnt take her immediately , arguing that our sign says walk ins welcome. We had already explained to her that we were waiting on clients due in any minute, to her we were to set aside our appointments and do her pedicure instead. She had obviously overlooked the fact that my sign says that we take appointments too ... she left angry then , later a woman from a local car dealership called saying that she had referred the woman to us and that we should have done her pedicure because the woman was the wealthiest woman in Wythe County. She was screaming at my daughter about how rude we had been. Of course my response was I dont care how wealthy she is i will not shove clients with appointments aside to do her pedicure or anyone elses , I keep my word to my clients. And no one talks to my daughter that way. I then proceeded to tell her not to ever dial our number again or come to the salon. She was threatening to ruin my business and I told her to do whatever she wanted. I m asking my clients to spread the word that although I do take walk ins , I wont take one over an appointment because the client with the appointment would then be made to sit and wait. Thanks , Designer Nails.
