Sam has shown us some well-developed cognitive and social skills this week! There has been excellent planning and time management. She has learnt to use the printer to photocopy independently. She has been happy and eager to get to school, and very very verbal! Sam has decided to create a club. Shes not sure what theyll do in it, but she does know who she wants in it. Weve had a few phone messages in the post couple of days from her friends parents. They are RSVPing to Sams play date tomorrow! Our clever Sam has printed off 10 gender/interest-appropriate invitations to her new club members, and written a lovely message inviting them to our house for morning tea. Correct address and phone number, time of arrival - 10am. How did I not know? I knew about the club idea, I taught her to photocopy a picture, I answered her questions about what we are doing on Sunday and what time we have morning tea. I did not connect the dots! Beware parents! Our kids are smart! There is no chance my kids will be on Facebook before they are 13! So we have 3 confirmed to attend, 2 unable, and I guess we just wait to see who else might come. Wondering if we need a bouncer?
