Samuel had his routine cardiologist and immunologist appointments today. He had to get a Doppler ultrasound done to check for a possible blood clot.(usually seen when child goes in for cath lab procedure which, he had one done a month ago). They found a blood clot in his femoral artery. This is treated through lovenox injections that Grant and I will have to give him 2 times a day for 1-4 weeks. He has to stay one or two nights at Texas Children Hospital to make sure the dose is correct and to teach us how to give the injection. As difficult it is for Grant and I to see Samuel go through painful multiple blood drawings/iv attempts, dozens of test,ect...we are beyond blessed by his strength and happiness through everything he endures.
