GlobalPort opened the conference with a 101-94 victory over Air 21 behind 37 points and 11 rebounds from import Markeith Cummings. The Batang Pier will take on the Elasto Painters squad coming off a 79-75 victory over San Mig Coffee on the strength of Arizona Reid’s 28-point, 20-rebound performance. San Mig Coffee, meanwhile, will try to rebound behind import Marqus Blakely, who finished with 26 points and 20 rebounds, and James Yap, who struggled shooting just 1-of-14 from the field against Rain or Shine. The Mixers will also feature new addition Allein Maliksi, who was acquired in a deal with Barako Bull sealed on Friday.
