Sanyu FM News MTN Uganda is calling for stringent laws to help apprehend culprits responsible for persistent damage of its network infrastructure through malicious cuts. MTN Chief Technical Officer, Rami Farah, says persistent fiber damages put the business and customer quality at risk. He says some areas experience a total blackout for both voice calls and data services if the working routes are damaged. The Telecom Company says there has also been an upsurge in the number of cases of theft of fuel from the company’s generators and backup batteries, which cause system failures and network performance instability.
