Sarahs ( The Paleo Mom ) story of her recent Hashimotos diagnosis mimicked mine so closely that it actually made my stomach hurt reading it. It is a disease that doesnt affect just one part of our bodies but every.single.cellular.process. Each of her symptoms have been my own, and her writing brings me back to memories of clumps of hair in the drain, the inability to grow nice, strong nails my entire life, fatigue despite 9 hours of sleep a night, lack of growth as a child, lifelong constipation, weight gain despite healthy diet and exercise, eventually unwanted weight loss, adrenal fatigue, scalp psoriasis etc etc etc etc. Whats really amazing is that she was able to author the 2 books that have helped thousands of people with AI disease around the world. She has her PhD, two children, a husband, and a thriving entrepreneurial business. If theres one thing to learn here its do NOT let your AI disease stop you from achieving your goals.
