Sardine pate with toast Ingredients 60g Sardines in oil 25g Butter 25g Low fat cheese 20ml Lemon juice Black pepper as required 2 Slices wholemeal bread Lemon( garnish) Parsley( garnish) Method 1) Drain the sardines and remove any bones. 2) Puree the sardines, butter, soft cheese and lemon juice in a food processor untill almost smooth. Add pepper to taste and a little more lemon juice if needed. 4) Divide the sardine mixture between 2/4 small ramekin dishes and level the surface. 5) Cover with cling film and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. 6) Serve chilled, garnished with lemon twists and parsley, accompanied by fingers of toast. Fingers of toast Method 1) Heat the grill. 2) Remove the crusts from bread and cut each slice into figers. 3) Toast the bread under the grill until golden brown.
