Sat 2:09am My tummy hurts and I havent been able to sleep do I called the nurses station and found out that Augie has been awake for about hour in a half and hasnt been able to go back to sleep. My poor little guy. Im wondering whats going on with him. His meds were changed again on Tuesday so Im not sure if its coincidence or not but he hasnt had an appetite, this is the 3rd night his sleep is off and hes still hurting himself. Yesterday evening I received a call saying he has a bald spot on the right side of his head and he has an open wound. So it looks like they are going back to two people during his meal times (since thats when his restraint is off). I know this is a learning curb and much of this process is trial and error since no one can predict how Augie will respond to things. But this is so painful for all of us. I wish we could fast forward to the end of treatment already. My poor guy. At least his therapist thinks they are are getting close to figuring out what is causing the self injury. It seems to be connected to physical attention, but they are still narrowing in on exact causes. Of course, they need to wait to see what the exact connection is so they know would treatment to develop. Until then, we wait and pray. Thank you for all your prayers!
