Satire - Probably the most powerful thing about satire is that there is really no effective way to rebut it or present a counter-argument against it without making yourself look ridiculous. A good example can be found in the Golden Globes comedy routine that Fey and Poehler did where they took a shot a Bill Cosby. Cosby (or more often than not, his lawyers or spokespeople) can present a defense or counter-argument when he is charged with some sort of ethical violation.
