Saturday. - we are undecided about harvesting today because of expected rain. If it stays dry we might to get a few grapes in- let us know if you fancy joining in. Sunday, Monday & Tuesday look really good for harvest. Dry and Sunny. We would welcome volunteers tomorrow or in the coming days, with lunch and a gift of wine. Given enough people, we could probably harvest in the entire vineyard in those few days. We did a small harvest yesterday of about 350kg of grapes, pressed down into 200 litres of juice. I reckon this is about 10% of the total harvest, possibly less. The yield is significantly greater than last year, and the grapes are in better condition. The sugars are not yet as high as we would like (58-60 Oe) but the flavour is good. So far. so exciting.
