Saturday 17th August, The tremors came back today, only very faint on Candys shoulders, nowhere else, its not nice to see, but were not letting it knock us back, onwards and upwards we go. Candy has had a good day today, the usual sort of morning, she ate a good brekkie, then she has to go back to bed to help digest it, and the rest of the morning follows that, she has ventured out a few days today and she even asked to go out with Faith, she managed an hr then it was bed again, it has been rather windy here today, she must of got the wind up her tail a couple of times, as she had 2 or 3 attempts at playing, she trots, throws her head about and today she even managed a couple of steps of canter, its just like watching a foal/youngster, so cute it does make you feel for her, and she kept coming over to me for reassurance and had her eye on me all the time, she has wanted me around a lot today, lots of cuddles, lying with her, stroking her, no grooming yet. She has been very alert, and whinning, she hasnt missed a thing today, its amazing even when she is laid down she still knows what im up too. She has started to dig in the soil and she is licking the earth, she has a mineral lick in her housie, but must be something else that she needs at the mo. In the last 24hrs she has done 8 poohs, 4 normal ones, 2 projectile and 2 semi formed, thats the most poohs she has done in any 24hrs over the last 6 wks, and as always her pee`s are fine Candys food intake today has been; 27 scoops of Readigrass 5 scoops of soaked Pony Nuts 3.5 scoops of sliced Carrots 1.5 scoops of Apples 1 scoop of HappyHoof 19 Custard Creams Candys fluid intake has been; 32 ltrs of Herbal tea/water 4 water bags (2ltrs in each) Because Candy is drinking so much tea i am cutting out her midnight water bag, so she will have 4 water bags split over a day, and so long as she keeps drinknig well and her bowels are working fine i am going to stop 1 bag a wk , and see how she goes, that will take us up too wk 10 , we will be well on the way to kicking this illness into next yr by then ;) Candy hasnt had any sweating and she has been a normal temp to the touch. Just this very faint tremor on her shoulder. Theres been no roll today but i was scratching behind her ear for her and she lowered her head and joined in the scratch with her back leg, she did wobble a wee bit but she managed to keep her balance on 3 legs, and scratch her ear, which i think is brill. She was also showing signs of wanting to go for a stroll down the lane but i distracted her, i thought being out with Faith was enough for 1 day So another good day, some suttle butt kicking has gone on and were ready for more tomorrow :)
