Saturday 20th July, 2013 Grace to give 2 Chro. 1:6-15 “And Solomon…..” What you give is a measure of your love. Love is an action word and is accompanied by giving. You can give without love but you cannot love without giving. Giving announces the degree of love. As a minister, banker, estate developer, wife, husband, parent, businessman, freely you have received, freely give. Do not use the grace of God upon your life for money making or self gratification. God frowns at that. Your life is a gift from God. Give life, influence lives for Jesus as long as you live. Solomon was a good example of a giver. He offered a thousand burnt offerings upon the altar of God. The God of “now” immediately appeared to king Solomon, and said unto him, ask what I shall give thee. God gave him a blank cheque. Solomon had more than enough. He asked for wisdom and knowledge but had in addition riches, wealth and honour. Solomon offered an unusual offering and was connected to the unlimited realm. Your giving determines your altitude. It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). The giver is always above the receiver. The top belongs to givers not the bottom. Give God your best and He will in turn give you His best. Prayer point Father, I receive the grace to be an excellent giver Memorise In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, ask what I shall give thee (2 Chron. 1:7) God will appear on your behalf
