In today’s Gospel, the archangel Gabriel greets Mary, saying, “The Lord is with you.” Once the angel has delivered his message to Mary, she responds, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Reflect on how the Lord has called you since last Advent. When have you been ready to respond, and when have you been reluctant? Do you take time to listen to the Lord in the quiet of your heart?
