Saturday June 08, 2013 starting at 10 am to The Alfonso Wells 1st Annual 8 Mile/Wyoming Community Picnic/3 on 3 tournament!!This event is held at the historical Alfonso Wells Memorial Park located on Birwood street between Chippewa & Norfolk in Detroit. Enter the 3 on 3 basketball tournament with prizes and/or cash for the winning team based on age bracket. Enjoy live music, bring your kids so they can burn off energy inside BOUNCIES , have some fun playing volleyball, throwing horseshoes etc. Bring your grill/tent/grub for the picnic. This event is hosted by the fellas, ladies, community & affiliates of 8 mile! FYI: 3 on 3 Information Each team is allowed 4 players maximum= 3 starters and 1 player serving as the alternate. The age brackets are as follows: 8 to 12, & 13 to 17, entry fee =$5 per player with Trophies and T Shirts awarded to the winning team in their age bracket, ages 18 to 30 & 31 to 40 entry fee= $10 per player and the winning team gets a $200 cash prize, ages 40 & up entry fee=$5 and the winning team receives Trophies & T shirts.
