#SaturdaySpotlight: Meet Zin Mar Aung, a Burmese activist who was imprisoned for 11 years because of her involvement in the 1996 & 1998 pro-democracy uprisings. She has since made numerous visits to former prisoners families and refugee camps. She remains firm in her belief that women must be participants in the political and peace building processes. Women have courage and power that is kept hidden. So I want to tell them not to keep it hidden and to show that power... And I also want to urge the society: don’t underestimate women who have such hidden power.
