Saved by the slow cooker....had to go to town to pick up some gear after lunch, knew I wouldnt be home for hours, and wouldnt be feeling like slaving over the stove by the time I arrived home. Dilemma what to cook....grabbed the slow cooker, hadnt even have time to put it away, after last nights slow cooker dinner. Threw in a frozen chook, with a few others ingredients, turned it on and away I went. Got home at 6.45pm, threw together some dumplings, put the lid on real fast. 45 mins later dinner served...Men happy......and best of all only one pot to clean up...gotta love that!
