Saw my cardiologist yesterday because Ive been having more frequent shortness of breath and longer episodes of palpitations and arrhythmia. EKG didnt show any problems, but sonogram showed a slight increase in valve regurgitation and my ventricles have gotten slightly larger than last time. Need a MRI to determine severity of valve leakage and how much longer to wait for valve replace surgery. In the meantime, my heart medication dosage has been increased and a new blood thinner has been prescribed to me to prevent having a stroke from blood clots caused by the arrhythmia.
