Saw something this afternoon that broke my heart and saddened me. I was going to the grocery store in Granite to get a gallon of milk before going home. I turn off of 212 and there is an elderly man in the street with his pickup crossway in the street. He had driven off of the 4 foot curb and took down the cement pillars and chains. I parked my pickup and watched as people crept by him in the street, and gawked from the parking lot. I walked across the parking lot to him and see hes in tears and clearly upset. He had tried getting unstuck by driving across it but hung up on his rear axle. He was clearly shaken, so I told him I would go get help if he waited there. I turn and see the same people both younger than me and older watching. It just makes me sick! How can no one stop to help!? People just stare or to busy with their lives to stop to help someone in need. Needles to say I drove away in tears and deeply disappointed in peoples lack of compassion. Shame on you, we all deserve better.
