Saying Goodbye..... As she stood by my office door way saying goodbye to the people she got used to, her colleagues....rivers of tears flowed uncontrollably from her eyes, I saw a 4 year old girl in a 43 year old woman. I was overwhelmed....I wondered what kind of tears it was. Maybe tears of fear......I thought to myself, but she had forgotten that when she first started here, all this faces she now knows- she never knew. Maybe its tears of joy....tears of relieve, tears of rejection, tears of wanting to belong,tears of acceptance....But nah....by the look of it, I bet its a combination of them all.....Mixed emotions. She has always been a cheerful person,full of smiles every time and I was shocked to see her in that state, I smiled and as she approached me to give me the warmest hug I have ever received in a long while , I almost cried.....but I swear i didnt, I dint cry because I understand....I now know what I never knew. Change is scary but change is a sign of blessings, a sign of hope.... and a sign of favor. We can not continue being where we are when the assignment God sent us there to do is complete.....we need to realize that is order to establish ourselves,in order to grow, we need to keep moving, and movement is change...change of position, change of responsibilities. Farewell to My Boss Lady :)
