[Scenario at work today that probably would have gotten me fired if I would have continued the conversation] One of the managers know that I have a degree in basically architecture, and I asked him if he knew anything about Dubai, and this is how the conversation went... Me: Hey Dave, have you ever heard of Dubai? Dave: Yea sure whyd you ask? Me: well you know I have my degree in architecture, just wanted to let you know that its one of my goals to visit there. Dave: Well if you didnt know, over there in Europe they have tons of amazing architecture that they were doing thousands of years before they came to America. Also, they were great engineers. Me: Hmm, cool... (WTF thought) Yea I just wanted to know if you ever heard of it cause I know youre grandad was an architect, thats all. I ended that conversation QUICK! I had to catch myself. And come to find out from one of the coworkers, hes a Jew. So yea, I def would have gotten fired today.
