School Annual Sports was going to take place shortly. All the Sports heroes of those times were practicing hard.Pranab Das( our Senior), Samir( My Brother),Ambarnath Datta, Edward Tate, Shyamal Bhattacharjee,were prcticing running,Triple jump, Shot Put and Discuss and Javellin throw. Ranjan Sengupta was walking at one end of the Ground. A javellin thrown by Pranab Das flew and struck Ranjan Sengupta ,just below his left collar bone. Pranab Das ,that huge athelete was crying like a baby in fear that he killed Ranjan. Ranjan was lying on the ground ,with the Javellin stuck in his chest. For a few seconds we were at a loss ,but then we swung into action,and helped Ranjan with First Aid and took him to Hospital. I dont know if Ranjan still carries that Javellin Mark on his chest.We started calling him Javellin ,after that incident- Ranjan,I think you should now write something about this from your memory.
