School Board Update! Today I get sworn in for my third and final term. On the agenda-new officers and then off to business. Eric Croff will be the new President. Hotest items will be charter school update, 20/20 goals updates and Girdwood School remodel. Lots of email on Girdwood, where members of the community, parents, teachers and students want an indoor track like all other middle schools. According to Administration, cost constraint is driving this decision. However, this is a Board decision ultimately and I will be focused on options. When cost was going to reduce the size of the CTE facility at West/Romig, I proposed an alternative and 1800 ft. were added. The 20/20 goal update will be more interesting than some may expect. It is not just numbers, but what will we do to achieve 90 percent grad. and attendance rate, etc. Of course, I have a list and will share more after I address the Board and Administration.
