School Openings For CMS, SHS Delayed Superintendent of Schools Middleton McGoodwin has shared the following information with us re: school openings: The extensive renovation and energy conservation work occurring at Claremont Middle School and Stevens High School has resulted in the need to change the start of the 2014-2015 school year for both schools. Though construction at each school facility is advancing on schedule, additional time is needed to prepare some of the classrooms for returning students. As a result, Claremont Middle School and Stevens High School will start the school year two days later than planned. The three Claremont elementary schools will start the school year as planned. Ø Monday, August 25th: First day of school for Disnard Elementary School, Bluff Elementary School and Maple Avenue Elementary School students Ø Wednesday, August 27th: First day of school for Claremont Middle School and Stevens High School students Principal Paulette Fitzgerald, Claremont Middle School, and Principal Patricia Barry, Stevens High School, will be contacting their parents and students with additional information.
