Scoreing The overall dressage score is comprised of individual movements scores, as well as collective marks. Coefficients are also applied to add an element of importance to certain movements. Scores are calculated using a 0-10 scoring scale, which is broken down as follows: 0 - Not Executed 1 - Very Bad 2 - Bad 3 - Fairly Bad 4 - Insufficient 5 - Sufficient 6 - Satisfactory 7 - Fairly Good 8 - Good 9 - Very Good 10 - Excellent Overall scores of 70% or over for a dressage test are considered very good, scores of 60-70% are considered good and if a horse and rider are consistently scoring 60%+ at any level of dressage competition this indicates that horse and rider are ready to move onto the next level.
