Scrubbing the floor helps me focus; the sweat I secrete in scrubbing are like words that drips on paper, as sweat drips onto my body. If I own a house one day, I’ll make it sure that I’ll have a large floor to scrub, a stadium perhaps, because most of my ideas are borne out of scrubbing. Aside from that, I am also contributing in preserving a practice that is slowly diminishing due to technological advancement. It is also hitting two birds with one stone; that is making the floor shine and exercising the body. I am grateful though that I was born unto a house where we had a large floor to scrub, and my body until now sighs for it.
