Seal Cord and Staff In one of the astonishing tales of the Torah portion in [Gen. 38], we read about the unconventional union that transpired between Judah, the son of Jacob and his daughter-in-law Tamar [which means palm tree], who disguised herself as a harlot. It is well known among all of the Jewish biblical commentators that the stories in the Torah are not just tales relating ancient Jewish history. They also reflect spiritual timeless experiences that take place continually within the human soul to bring us to Gods image and not follow or follow their lead. The Torah discusses the physical reality, but it alludes to the world of the spirit. This study is an interpretation on the episode of Judah and Tamar, treating the story as symbolic of the inner spiritual life of the children of God. In the writings of God, the name Judah, or Yehudah in Hebrew, containing within it the four letters of the name of God, symbolizes the Creator. Tamar, on the other hand, is the Hebrew name for a palm tree and represents the Jewish people and Gods children and what was supposed to be their bond with God. [Psalms 92:13] Why? The Word explains, Just as the palm tree has but one heart, so too do and Gods children have only a single heart, devoted completely to their Father in heaven and in each other at the same time. The heart of the date palm is its sap. Unlike the saps of other trees, like the olive or almond tree, the sap of the palm is found only in its trunk, but not in its branches or leaves. This is the meaning behind the Words statement that the palm tree possesses only a single heart or the Lord our God is one Lord. The intimate union between Tamar and Judah - man and God, occurs during the time each person spends in His bed chamber that man changed to “mansions”. During time, God, seen in the name Judah, reveals Himself to His people, evoking within them a yearning to die to their old ego and self-centered cravings and to become one with God. But then, months pass and the spiritual inspiration of the God wears off by preachers preaching sin and not the Blood or even the truth about Grace. Judah is informed that Tamar, your kalla, has committed harlotry and moreover, she has become pregnant by harlotry. The news arrives to God that His bride has betrayed Him, substituting him with another partner. [Note: your kalla] The Hebrew word “kalla which means bride can also be translated as your daughter-in-law, or, literally, as your bride. Is this not the story of so many people who are children of God and yet have their own teachings that do nothing in the realm of the Bloods provisions and Salvation, but keep them struggling and sin conscious instead of being one with God and Righteousness conscious? At one point during most people’s lives they are inspired to transcend their selfish identity and connect to the deeper divine rhythm of life. Yet, the cunning lore of numerous other gods “called we have our own denominations teachings and yours is wrong” captivates their imaginations and ambitions and dulls their vision of the True and Living God who wants them to do great exploits in the earth by Him being inside them to do it. God doesn’t fight sin, sickness, fear, doubt or darkness; He destroys it by His Light and Love. Man has substituted the God of Truth and transcendence with their ego-god, the power-god, the money-god, the temptation-god, the addiction-god, the manipulation-god and the god of self-indulgence, the wilderness experience god, the silent treatment god, the humbleness through loss god, etc. What is even sadder for Judah is the news that Tamar is so estranged from gossip that she became pregnant by harlotry teachings from her husband entertained by false accusations like most pastors and the five-fold ministry preach today. This symbolizes the stage in life when the children of God rejects the God of Life permanently and decides to build their future with superficial sources of gratification. Take her out and have her burned, says Judah. Isn’t this what the non producing the works of God pseudo prophets, apostles and pastors of today, who want to burn a true prophet for wanting to teach them how to be victorious in ALL things through the Bloods provisions, do? The purpose of the children of God is to serve as the spiritual compass of human civilization, to bear witness to the truth of God and to bring His moral conscious being to be that of Gods world. When the children of God loses sight of the “raison detre” of his existence, when he believes that his salvation lies in the fact that he was invited to the White House, or that he was praised in an editorial of The New York Times, or that he has a jet to go and minister in a well-known TV name, his existence is useless. Thats why it is at this period of time - three months after the intimate union between Judah and Tamar - that Judah (the metaphor for God) is informed regarding the spiritual status of Tamar (the children of God) and the verdict is issued that Tamar has no future. Where is your first love! When Tamar was being taken out, she sent word to Judah, saying, I am pregnant by the man who is the owner of these articles. Identify, I beg you, these objects. Who is the owner of this “seal”, “cord” and “staff”? [Gen. 38:25] [Note: Petila in Hebrew literally means a string or a wick. Judah gave her the string that he used to bind his sheep. [Gen. 38:18] The word means a wrap or cloak which refers to Gods Robe of Righteousness He put on man as a symbol that the Blood cleansed them and to stop calling yourself common and unclean. No wonder people today in their teachings can’t hear God and do what God says to do. Everytime He says “son or daughter”, they slap His face and say, “How dare you call me anything but a sinner.” “I know you saved me by Grace, but get real God, now I think you want me to suffer like I did when I was in darkness and not be healed or do anything else the Blood provided for so you can keep me humble.” During that fateful time, when the prosecuting angels have almost been successful in demonstrating to God that His people are a failed experiment, at that very moment, the Jew “Tamar” sends word to God, saying, I am pregnant by the man who is the owner of these articles! The information you received that I abandoned you is a blatant lie and if you remember, you do say you have a remnant that haven’t turned to the fables of man that don’t work and only cause man to make excuses! Gaze into the deeper layers of my identity, Tamar said and you will discover that I belong to You, that my intimacy is shared only with You, God. I am pregnant from Judah [who turned into an “if it be thy will” man] and not from anybody else! Tamar declares to Judah. Identify, I beg you, these objects. Who is the owner of this seal, cord and staff? Tamar shows a wick, or a cord, soaked in oil, then further points to the staff on his arm. In order to preserve his faith, he was forced to take the wandering staff in his arm, abandon his home, wealth and security and seek out new territory where he could continue to live as a child of God. The Hebrew term for and the staff, vhamateh, has the same numerological value as the word the vessel, hakeli, symbolic of the menorah. Identify, I beg you, these objects. The ring is a sign of power and authority and position with God and He put His ring on His children and Bride. The Cord or coat whichever way you want to translate it, points to being Sealed of Holy Spirit, Atonement and Yeshua as the scapegoat. The Staff points to now eating from the Tree of Life and being passed from death unto Life. Who is the owner of this seal, cord and staff? Tamar asks Judah who asks God. It is to this man that I am pregnant! Are you birthing people into the provisions of the Blood and the anointing or just your religion that still allows loss and blames God for it? God allowed it, these Satan hearing and led people say! No, YOU ALLOW IT BECAUSE YOU DON’T BELIEVE GOD! Your traditions of sin thinking make Gods Word of non-effect. Our loyalty and commitment remain eternally to the owner of the Seal of the ring, “Cord” and our deepest intimacy is reserved to the owner of the staff which is Yeshua. Thank God Judah immediately recognized the articles and came out of his sleep and slumber and he said, “She is right; it is from me that she conceived. She [represents man turning from God because the church walks in condemnation and not Love and Gods Truth] did it because I did not give her to my son Shelah [which represents the church version of Jesus that can’t even tie their shoes right and have no works and thinks God wants you to suffer and not enjoy the Life and that more abundantly that He the true Messiah came to give through His shed Blood]. [Gen. 38:26] His remnant children have never left Him and teach mankind how to develop Gods qualities so when Yeshua appears they shall be like Him for they shall see Him as He is. True, some children do fall prey at times to the dominating external forces of a materialistic and immoral world, yet this enslavement is skin deep if they truly are saved. They will get hold of someone who walks in the manifestation of Gods Will and demonstrates Gods Works and makes no excuses so they can learn how also. Probe the layers of your soul and you will discover an infinite wellspring of spirituality and love that God wants to develop but can’t when you stick with you denominations teachings that have never worked. You can’t keep doing the same thing that never leads to deliverance and expect things to change!. If the ones that are called by Gods Name has, in fact, gone astray here and there, they need to say, it is my fault and not say it is Gods wanting to teach you. Judah said Because I did not give Tamar to my son Shelah. Shelah is the Biblical term used to describe Messiah. [Gen. 49:12] God says I had to bring Judgment on their sin and that for two millennia have kept the Jewish nation in a dark and horrific exile where they have been subjected to horrendous pain and savage suffering. Blood, tears and even death have been mans tragic fate for twenty centuries as they have prayed, “if it be thy will” each day and never for a moment walked from the world of redemption by their carnal teachings and blaspheming what the Blood did. That is why redemption has not come to the church body that is suppose to be manifesting God so man can be delivered from the curses Satan was allowed to bring through the first Adam. Man still rejects the teachings of the Second Adam who is a quickening spirit because they reject Gods Knowledge. How can God ever expect that man will ever learn how to never commit a sin, if they reject His Word? How can God expect that man will never try to cast his luck [the word comes from Satan] with the materialistic world about him that seems so appealing, when they hold back being trained for so long in the light of Messiah? It is man, not God, who is guilty of treason, God says. I see Yeshuas Bride and My Children as an innocent, beautiful palm-trees, which still has only one heart to its Father in heaven and in them at the same time, so why can’t you believe Me, the True and only Living God and reject the teachings of man who teach you to say what you see that is on the outside and NOT IN YOU?
