Seances at the Canisteo Public Library? No sir, not on my watch! While we will not do dopey, unkind, and obnoxious things like placard protests, the church of Jesus Christ MUST take this PERSONALLY. I know I do!!! Many of us have worked too hard for too long against them to allow these demons to just waltz into town unabated!!! While I DO NOT believe fortune telling/palm reading is any less of an evil, seances are on a whole different level. While it is often advertised for people attempting to speak to loved ones who HAVE passed (and even those in charge may sincerely believe that as well) All it actually is, is invoking and inviting demon spirits to come into our surrounding community. I want to speak to every true blood bought believers in Jesus Christ. We MUST intercede against it! We must pray for it NOT to happen and/or speak confusion to fog the minds of those involved. Going to the library will not, I repeat will not appear loving, kind or Christian. Jesus NEVER protested. He either blessed or cursed a situation. It also falls into the churchs RESPONSIBILITY to engage when confronted with such tactics. Our battle is NOT with the folks involved anyway. They are loved, adored and cherished by God!!! People themselves are not the issue in these cases, they NEVER are! Ephesians 6:12 says For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. ........We also have the spiritual authority to evict these spirits from our cities/towns. 1 John 4:4b states because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. I propose gathering some folks at your church, your home or wherever, on Saturday night at the same time as the proposed seances and speak the Holy Spirit into the situation. Through intercession, put up an angelic stronghold against any demonic spirits and their activity so they cannot come when summoned/beckoned/invited. Like or comment if youre on board! Blessings!
