Seated in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus Eph 2:5-6 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: We were dead in sins. The Psalmist David wrote, Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” (Ps 51:2-5) We were born with a sin nature and walked after the lusts of our hearts. Our former condition was sinful. God sent His Son Jesus to deliver us from the bondage of sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1 John 3:8-9). You are no longer a sinner but a saint of God, if you are in Christ. You are in this world but not of the world. You are now a citizen of Heaven. You are seated in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Prayer Focus: Father, thanks for delivering me from sin.
