Well be going full steam ahead promoting the tour, and these will also be published this month in AAAs Travel Magazine. To hold your spot(s) call 866-222-1337... a $200 deposit holds the place for you. The itinerary listed is the basic itinerary, we are adding fantastic shows and experiences all the time. Including a very special gig in Belfast, a trip to Oideas Geal, an Irish Speaking area of Donegal where well hang out, sing a few tunes and maybe pick up a few words of Gaelic (I will send everyone the packet of Gaelic/Irish Lessons that I wrote while working for Berlitz a few years ago), a Session/Reception in the Crypt of Christchurch Cathedral....and so much more. We wont leave a stone unturned looking for cool places to play, stay, visit, eat and drink. By keeping the groups small we can do so much more than the regular tour stuff. So many tours of Ireland visit the same spots over and over, we want to make absolutely sure that there will be memories made that youll never forget. There are about 40 spots available for each week, with a significant discount (and an extra night...somewhere between Dublin and Dingle) if you choose to join us for both weeks. About 30 of the 80 total spots have been snapped up by folks who came this year which is fantastic. Without flight included, we have a price of $1825 per person. My hope is that with AAAs buying power, we can get a great deal on the flights, leaving the total price somewhere around $2,300-$2,400, which is about what this years trip cost. We decided to do the trip in Early October, most band trips are taking place in November when it is a little cheaper. However, I felt that the slight extra cost of doing the trip in October will really pay off in terms of the weather and especially in the length of the days. In November it can get pretty miserable and the days are extremely short. The clocks dont go back in Ireland until the third week in October, giving us that extra hour of sunshine and daylight...I think itll make a huge difference. Once again, the band will be travelling right there on the bus with you...Join Maura Dwyer, Andrew Jay Keenan, Rob Shaffer and Me John Byrne.
