Seattle Classic Guitar Society presents Jesse McCann at the Frye Art Museum, Saturday November 29, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Seattle Classic Guitar Society 2014 - 2015 Frye Art Museum Concert Series The Seattle Classic Guitar Society is proud to present the 2014-2015 Frye Art Museum Concert Series. Jesse McCann, November 29, 2014, 2:00 p.m. Jesse McCann is hailed as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most talented guitarists. He has won numerous awards in solo and chamber guitar categories and is a member of the critically acclaimed Oregon Guitar Quartet. Mr. McCann studied the guitar under the direction of Croatian guitarists Miroslav Loncar and Natasha Klasinc and later the American composer Bryan Johanson. He has also had the honor of working with influential guitarists such as Dusan Bogdanovic, Scott Tenant, David Tanenbaum, and Jason Vieaux. In addition to performing, he is quickly earning a reputation as one of Portland’s best teachers of guitar and is highly sought after by prospective students. He works alongside his mentor and former teacher, Bryan Johanson, helping run the guitar program at PSU and often assisting in the proofing and editing process of quartet arrangements, publications and other compositions. In 2014, Mr. McCann will be a guest performer and instructor for the GFA Convention and is later scheduled to perform solo concerts in Italy. Domeniconi (b. 1947) Toccata in Blue To Obtain Tickets With the generous support of member donations and grants, these concerts are presented free to the public, with the artist fees being paid by the Seattle Classic Guitar Society. The concerts start at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are distributed on a first come-first served basis at the Frye Information Desk beginning at 1:00 p.m. Tickets go quickly, so come early to pick up a ticket and then enjoy the exhibitions or have lunch at the fine cafe before the concert.
