Second attempt at a mediaeval-inspired eating spoon with a ficulate bowl and a decorative knop. I think the tapered hexagonal stem works really well and I had fun coming up with ideas for the knop. It feels exceptionally comfortable to hold. The bowl of this one turned out almost flat on one side because it was very shallow to start with and it warped asymmetrically as it dried (it also has an annoying small knot that Im hoping wont fall out). Carved from wild plum again. Finished with several coats of raw linseed oil, with a little raw beeswax mixed in with the final coat, which has given it a nice satin sheen.
