Second day running that our whale watching trips have produced 4 - TopicsExpress

Second day running that our whale watching trips have produced 4 species, with another show by: harbour porpoise, common dolphins, minke whales (2-3) and a very active lunging fin whale (see pic). Most of the activity was focussed in Rosscarbery Bay area. About an hour after the Holly Jo docked at Reen Pier, our colleague William Helps (who designed our CWW logo) watched a humpback whale off Mill Cove at around 16:30. So fantastic whale activity in the waters between Glandore and Galley Head. Shame today that we still had some empty spaces given the calm seas and abundance of marine megafauna. Assume this was in part due to the rugby international.......based on todays Irish performance, I think Id rather be out whale watching on the Holly Jo next weekend than watching the All Blacks destroy us!
