Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of the new Ukrainian government announced that Putin tourist foreign extremists are active in eight Ukrainian provinces in major cities in eastern and southern Ukraine, attempting to seize government buildings and to issue calls for referendums to join Russia, in an effort to implement the same scenario as in Crimea as a pretext for Russian military invasion. He also announced that members of the Maidan Self-Defense Force had been dispatched to the affected cities including Donetsk, Luhansk and others. Forces of the newly-created National Guard are also to be dispatched to counter this Russian subversion operation conducted by infiltrated extremists.
